That's what they say, but they're splitting hairs from what I read. Paypal is meant to be a total payment system between users, merchants or auctions. GBuy is targeted towards B2B transactions, especially for advertising, and merchant to consumer.

"Google will not charge merchants for its payment service. After some period, the analyst believes Google will charge 1.5% to 2%, in-line to slightly below that of PayPal."

I'll use GBuy if it allows me easier ways and less hassle requesting money from advertisers on my website.

If it allows a "Wallet" feature, where it's a *literal* virtual asset payment system -- they'll definately convert me.

This is the first I've heard of gbuy. When I read it, I thought, hmm... ok... cool another processor. THEN.... I check it out and realize it's gogoel AKA google.

Then I was like ... OH F THAT. You see, I can't stand ggogole. They started out as a cool search engine, and then after gaining the use of millions of searchers that were like "cool... good results, no ads", they slammed everyone with their rip-off schemes.

Anyone know how many suits been filed for fraud on google? Anyone know how many have been ripped off? Anyone see that gogogle is trying to conquer the world launching a new scam every friday? In my opinion, their search results sucked ever since they changed (when their focus became strictly $$$$).

I thought ebay was bad... lol... goglele is the worst company in the world.

I think anyone that contributes to this gbuy thing is a fool.

Oh... and get this... they know they suck.

Who owns GoogleSucks.com? You got it... Goeglgle

If they stuck with search results and a toolbar, I'd be all about it. Stop cashing in on the good name you USE TO HAVE.

    Sorry for my venting guys...

Having a hard time ranking well in Google??? :D

I am going to take a look at GBuy. Of course, I'll wait a while if I do decide to convert anyway (Nothing like losing money because of a impatient attitude!)

It didn't started yet and I am dissapointed already.
Seems it will be only for USA, worst coverage of customers then picky PayPal.
I expected that it will be PayPal like solution but available worldwide, this sucks for all of us outside the USA.

If anyone abondons Paypal for GBuy, they are either a moron or not serious about doing business. Granted GBuy may have enough market share one day that it's viable but even Paypal doesn't have 100% recognizability (I still get emails asking me what Paypal is and if its safe for some of my shops)

I might check it out in a few months if enough people are using it but I'm thinking it will be at LEAST 2 years before it gets any signifigant market share to be able to "switch" to it

    US Only

Rightly said yfs1. Anybody seriously into business shouldnt shift at once. Better will be to go for both accounts and than slowely slowely if GBUY is providing better service which i am sure they will combined with low transaction fees, peoples should shift to it. 1 - 2 years wil be enough for Google to capture the market.
