Ok so how long do you think before the age of a domain is irrelevent, my domain is almost 3 months old. When do you think I will see some decent rankings, plus I think I tripped and fell in the old sandbox :D

3 years are enough to rank well. Everything depends on your SEO now. Make sure that you build your links regularly.

Two of our sites got a big boost at 1 year. When you say you fell in the sandbox, had you changed your keywords significantly or your title tags significantly? Our home website ranked no 1 for the very small town we used to live in, when we moved to Bury St Edmunds and changed all our SEO it took 4 months before we could rank above no 9 for "website design bury st edmunds" - then one day (at about the time our site was a year old) we started creeping up the serps and now we're no 2.

I've read that the more commercial your site is the longer the filter/sandbox lasts for. Some people say they last for up to 9 months; other books say your website gets a boost at 1 year.

Make sure your internal SEO is tip-top, get all your links and don't lose heart!!

Domain Age is not so important in SERP unless you are constantly building links.

    Yeah,
Domain Age doesn't matter but most concentrate work in Off Page optimization.
