How many blogs should you have? Many or few? I was thinking about this for a while, and could find the answer. Let's talk about many blogs (quantity) first: -Traffic is low for each blog -You can have more search engine search because you can have domain with the keywords you want. -Easy to bring traffic until some level. We don't need to have much traffic because we have other blogs. Few blogs (quality) : -Traffic is higher, but you need to work hard. -You need innovation. Because you are competing with other big blogs. I think if you are playing with Adsense, maybe it is better to go with many blogs, and if you are doing affiliate marketing, then you should have few blogs. So what do you think?
One blog, because it's hard to maintain multiple ones. Think of the niches you like most, and then base the whole general idea of the site you want to build. That way you don't have to stick to just one thing.
Depends on how much time you have or the methods you plan to use. Some people have thousands of blogs.
One more thing, after getting 100 unique visitor per day, it is hard to raise the number. That is my biggest challenge on having one blog. I need something different. 100 unique visitor a day is quite easy.
Well its not that hard to raise the traffic after 100. You just need to work a bit more to achieve that.
I prefer to have few good blogs which get decent traffic rather than many blogs which are of low quality. The better the blog the better the chance a visitor will return.
Currently i'm only have 1 blog coz i feel that the quality is more important than other thing. Beside that, its more easy to manage.Normally,i don't only use adsense,i use several ads network such as adbrite etc to maximize the earning.
As I see it, there's no right or wrong in this. The few-sites strategy leaves room for building better and bigger blogs - and work more on the SEO and promotion side of things. On the other hans, bulding many blogs allow you to sew a lot of seeds and then see which can make you money going forward. I find myself constantly building just a little test-blog to see how hard the keywords on the subject are, and how the Adsense rates and affiliate deals on the subject are. If the test-blog works out fine, it's promoted to a "real" blog, otherwise I just leave it.
When you reach the 100 per day mark stop and think. Remember the exact steps, that you have taken to reach the 100 UV. Than you just follow them again and hew what do you know - 200 UV's. Multiply by 10 and you have 1000. I don't see what's so difficult here.
Lesser the number, greater the care and time you can devote. But the exact numbers depend on the resources and time available at your disposal.
This makes sense to me also. People are more likely to revisit a website that is updated with good content and current information on a regular basis. Sinead
