if you want to make money from adsense there are mainly 3 ways to do it: 1) come up with a great unique concept or idea for a website. (examples: youtube,myspace,digg,flickr) 2) learn SEO, do some keyword researchs and target easy niches. 3) create another boring flash games or funny pictures site and promote it untill you are 5 years older. i have a little brother who i introduced to making online money just 6 months ago, my advice to him was to learn photoshop and web design to make logos, banners and psd's designs, he did, and he already reached the 1k mark. reall skills will always pay off, being a Coder, web designer, SEO and selling your services is one of the best ways to make money online, if you don't have any skills then teach yourself some. from my experience adsense is only worth the time when you have a concept that brings millions of visitors per month and no other way to monetize the traffic. most people in the internet who make 6 figures per month don't use adsense, they either sell something, a product or a service or own a membership website. don't get me wrong adsense is a great way to make money, but from a personal perspective they are also the biggest scam in the internet! you are just making someone richer by putting his ads on your website, because at the end the one who makes the most money is the guy who is selling the product or service being advertised on your website via adsense. good luck.
