I may have found the greatest site for 80's music, EVER! It truly is fantastic, check it out ( not sure how legal it is ) http://www.freephotosandvideos.com/
I love we are the 80's on vhl1 classic. 2 hours of good music (and bad videos) I didn't have cable in the 80's, and when vh1 moved to cable late 80's (it was syndicated on a local channel here befor that), I missed a lot of the good ones.
Site up and running... In fact, right now listening to (kind of hard to watch a video while doing something else...lol): Aerosmith - Janie's Got A Gun
thanks iowadawg cool stuff, love that kind of music. I really like to listen to some michael jackson songs 'Bad' 'thriller' 'beat it' << DA BEST. Was in the 80's !!
it is funny when found "Murray Head - One Night In Bangkok" http://www.freephotosandvideos.com/videos.php?vid=J5VBdwQZSFk Watch the video and I guess he never been in Bangkok because the video mix between Vietnamese, Indian, Chinese together and have only Thai boxing that tell about Bangkok. LOL
Ouch! Okay, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller and a few of the better 70s bands really went crap with the sell-out attempts at reaching new markets in the 80s, but there were still some good ones. The Eagles didn't do their final tour 'till the 80s for one Awesome site Joe - good luck with it; no doubt you're having lots of fun with it!
I thought the eagles last album (hell freezes over) was in like 92 or 93 or something? Coulda sworn I was in college.
Yes, that was their last album, and thanks for mentioning you were in college then making some of us feel even older, but I think it was 95 or so, but I was in Germany and we didn't get things as fast ... I was referring to the Eagles Live album, the last before their breakup which I think was in '83. That actually led to the naming of the "Hell Freezes Over" album - when Don Henley was asked about the possibility of a reconciliation of the band getting back together a decade prior - that was his response
Gotcha! Yeah, I knew that story about the album's name. The hell freezes over concert is great too. Its on pbs or vh1 sometimes. I love that album, er CD, whatever you call em these days
