Jelena received a wildcard into the Australian Open 2009 tournament, and just won her 4th round match to progress into the Quarter Finals. A wildcard winning their 1st round match is considered an achievement. Reaching the QF is just incredible, and she has beat quality opponents along the way. Anyone who knows her history knows she has done it tough due to personal issues with her father and battling depression. She is truely doing Australia proud Go Jelena!
Don't worry I think she will pass Dinara Safina in Quarter Final too as she has nothing to lose anything. I think his personal problems made a huge impact on her performance but good to see after 2 years, she cameback with quality performance and his latest match was a example of good match where she won after 3 sets.

Well one think which I learn from many years is that player or team always be danger when they have nothing to lose and I think it will help Jelena too, I believe she would beat Russian.
