As paypal is not accepted in my country, so is moneybookers.com a good alternative to paypal? Also how wide it is being used? Also I would like to know if anyone here on DP is using moneybookers.com for payments etc.
I've used it a little, in the past. I had no bad experiences with it, myself. I'd be very nervous indeed of using it regularly, or for significant amounts of money, I must say. The general consensus of opinion among its clients seems to be that it's perfectly good until something goes wrong, and then it's an absolutel nightmare to deal with them, can often take more than a week to get a reply to a simple email, and so on. I believe their idea of "customer service" leaves a great deal to be desired. At the moment, I strongly prefer AlertPay (which has improved dramatically over the last year or so) to Moneybookers, as a PayPal alternative when you need one.
Well! i also created new account of Moneybookers! it works fine with all legal process now looking to draw some $$$ lets see how it works! In Pak! MB is great alternative
ok, so MB is not a very bad option, I had created the alertpay account but don't know why i just disliked it and I think MB is better than atleast alertpay. But paypal is best I wish they start giving services also to Pakistanis. As they are already in India, don't know they have what problem with PK.
Obviously Moneybookers is good choice after paypal if paypal not supported your country. Go with MB though its not widely accepted as paypal but still the best IMO. Other options are 2CO,ePassporte,alertpay etc. for you. DON.
This is most common topic in DP. I am using MB last 2 years. Some time some problem link, account temporary lock otherwise no problem. Bangladesh is not PP listed country so from here MB, Google checkout are good.
Moneybookers is good one for online money transactions instead of using paypal for you. But i use PAYPAL and it is accepted in India. Never problem arise with me through paypal.
Yes, MoneyBookers is just fine. The support is OK too. I use them from time to time and I don't have any problems with them. PayPal is much more popular than MoneyBookers. Not many use it here on DP. I've used it 2-3 times only. Most DP users prefer to use PayPal.
I can't claim to be an expert on this subject, but I believe it may be something to do with compliance with money-laundering regulations in America. Transfers of funds between India and the US, and between PK and the US are certainly regarded rather differently. I agree it's obviously anomalous and unfortunate for you and many other people.
OK thanks guys, at least now I can trust moneybookers, but still its sad that paypal don't accept accounts from Pakistan. May be our government can do something about it but ....
