AutoBlogging?

Well I have a few questions about autoblogging:

    1. Are they legal? It is taking content from other sites
    2. Could it cause my adsense account to be deactivated?
    3. Do they get punished in search engines for having the same content as other sites?
    4. Hmm, guess I only had 3 questions...

    Let me know!

    Thanks

Well to my knowledge there are two types of autoblogging (i maybe wrong) one is when you just feed your blog rss feeds and it will post automatically a snippet of the original post just enough to get a readers attention. The other blog is just full leeching and will copy the entire post which in my opinion will make google hate you.

basically if you do the first one

    1. Yes so long as you link your sources
    2. As long as you don't break any rules than no
    3. If you link the sources you will not get punished

This what i would use for autoblogging
    http://autoblogged.com/

To be safe, so you do not get penalized by google or any other SE (duplicate content) use wp uniquifer plugin (search for it in google)
This is a plugin that turns all duplicate content into unique content in one click)
This plugin will help in seo.

    just my 2 cents

Does autoblogged post the entire article or just a small portion of the original?

I believe it depends on how the feeds your grabbing are setup. Some people choose to have the full article available through feeds, some have just excerpts

    1. It depends on what and how you scrape. It's could be legal and illegal.
    2. Yes, it's just a matter of time someone to report your site and say bye bye to AdSense.
    3. It depends on what you're doing. In the long run all scrapers get reported and eventually banned.

    Hope that helps :)

'uniqueifier' will get you banned almost instantly. You must think the google boys are REALLY stupid not to spot character substitution that blatant. If you want to read up on autoblogging free, here's a good place to start (it answers all your questions)

    autoblogging at http://www.bloggerhigh.com

modern autoblogging software, btw, does a better job than most humans nowadays, as these examples show.

So just to be safe, I should make it without using adsense?

Say I hosted it on the same server, same IP as my other sites that use adsense and google does not like the autoblog, will they check the ips and then find my adsense and ban it?

    1. Yes as long as the content is meant for that purpose/allowed, getting content from article sites is okay, as is embeding youtube videos.
    2. Yes, but you will probably just get a warning if they think it is spammy.
    3. Yes, but link building can counter act it e.g. social network backlinks.

In the long run autoblogs are no good for you. Google is smart and has "real" people checking these sites.. You will also notice from time to time searches for an exact title from a post of yours..

This is a manual check for dupe content. In the past I had autoblogs full of crap but have started with real content sites and have done much better!
