How to increase the PR?

Hi All,

Previously my site http://secgeeks.com was having PR6 but now its PR3,any one suggest what needs to be done to increase the PR?

you need high pr links from trusted sites

 

Try to get more backlinks to your site (it's better if sites that link to your site are related to your site).

People say it's easy to increase the pagerank if you have quality backlinks, links from PR5, PR6, ... sites.

Pagerank is not necessary to increase your traffics. Your pagerank could drop but your traffics increase.

 

get some links, if you have some articles, digg them and sumbmit them to other big authorithy sites.

also look for link exchanges with high PR.

PS. look for dofollow links.

 

Increasing PR can takes a while or even much longer, you just need to be patience and build a lot of backlink in some high PR sites and submitting your site in directories, article, and rss feed.

 

Lets say two sites have a PR of 5 and the other one has a PR of 1. Yet the site with a PR of 1 makes 10x the money of the PR5 site.

If you can figure out why that happens then you will understand the real value of PR.

 

Get more backlinks, some sites might have taken off your links.

 

GEt more back links from sites that has higher pr.

 

This thing happen often as per the google policy changes, you know they deindex pages if they find something wrong, it happened in my case, in that case you need to rebuild your backlinks, greater backlink will improve the situation.

 

I wouldn't worry too much about PR; many top websites with thousands of regular members, have a low PR.

However, quality, high-PR backlinks is what you need!

try submitting to a few high-PR dofollow directories! (tip: some can be found using the search facility here on DP!)

For example go to some relevant content sites and offer to give them some unique content for free as long as they include a link back to you, something like a guest post on blogs. I guess that the easiest way to get high pr is a ring community links.
Your site will have a PR in 1 month if you do that.

 

The number of backlinks it had might have reduced.
You will have to increase it.

Every one talking about related websites. Get link from related site. Why in the world my competition will give me a link from they website to mine? Even google probably wants that, but i think it is not that important. If you have link to your website from PR6 or PR5 , i dont' think , that Google will care that much about related or not related website.

 

Getting a high PR is not a single days task. One bitter but logical method is keep posting on SB, PR, Blogs or write articles on popular sites but it may take some time to be effective. But if you want to beat the time then you should think about paid advertisement and inclusion in paid directories. e.g if you want to get back link from Yahoo! then it may cost you around $250-$300 /yr. Rest depends upon your budget.
