Lol, this place sucks for appraisals(as in most of them are ignored). It's a nice domain name and I would suggest turning it into a site or a blog. In general green domain names are a dime a dozen since everyone rushed to buy them and then they let them expire. IMO, the domain is worth exactly $30.00 since that is what I would pay for it. With content, page rank, traffic and proven revenue you can set your own price.
The domain worth about 20 bucks . The name is not that special. Just why would anyone offer $1250.00 for SolarPanels.ME Crap domain if it's not .com are a very hot single word then sometimes .net but otherwise flush it ....
Dane, this is not my thread so my domains for sale are not an issue here. With that said you might want to research what domains are selling for before you pass judgment on them. To answer your question, I think I was offered $1250 because that is what the person who made the offer thinks it's worth. Regardless of what we value domains for, the true value is shown when two people exchange money for a domain name.
Right now, I think a couple of bucks and also suggest you to develop it in a environment blog or portal that in the future will bring you more $.
