I Did A Terrible Thing

I have some 6 months old blogs and I change the title, description and added some keywords in the All In One SEO Plugin. In one day the SE traffic felt down really hard, the main keyword is still in title and description, I just added more keywords in it and that's it.

What you think SEO Masters, is this really so terrible for Google rankings? What should I do now, leave it as it is and wait more months and hope it gets back?

I would revert back to how your site was, I always say why change a good thing! Also check your meta-tags because you really shoudnt have more than 10!

You could try to enter your site in www.archive.org and see if u can find the good description/tags again

Google re-indexes the pages that went through changes in mainly Title & Meta Tags. So either you change your contents to the previous one or not but you certainly have to wait for couple of days in either case to get the results back.

Well I want the title and desc to be like it is now, because previous wasn't good. So you say I get back rankings after some days?

If the site your are talking about is your first Sig, then I would look at the short title. You are allowed 64 characters and if you had Google Webmaster Tools setup, you would get this warning.

Also, put the url in your post, it helps us "not guess".

without knowing more, we cant really comment - it could just be random serps shufflings seeing as google just updated.

In my opinion, panicking is not a solution. I think you should wait for sometime for google to update and reindex the page. By the time you can also try some link building on the new keywords that you just added and I am sure, unless you have goofed up big time somewhere, you will get back your site in the rankings.

when you change title, description and add seo plugin, that can make your ranking flactuate temporarily based on how old the site is and how strong position it holds in search engines currently. i wouldn;t worry too much abou the temporary drop in ranking. i would just suggest you to do a little link building bad focus on getting few quality backlinks. over time, it should climb back up

Basically you have to start all over if you don't remember what your site was like before. Let that be a lesson to ya' ;)

I will say this it not a bad thing I tweek my sites all the time and they spring back because I am patient and know that some things take time. Although the serps take a dip sometimes they've always come back up and I've done things that were better than before.
