Starting Bidding Directory - need suggestions

    Hi All,

    i am looking to start a bid directory & i am confused which script to use

    phplinkbid or linkbidscript

    pls share your experience about both & how to promote a bidding directory

    PHPlinkbid was excellent for me I would highly recommend it. Havent used the other software so I cant comment.

    As for advertising you need a decent PR or forget it and buying links on other bidding directories (top spot is worth every penny) worked well for me.

    PHPlinkbid is excellent script but it isn't free. However linkbidscript is free

    Although phplinkbid is a paid script it is by far the better of the 2..

    I know this is obvious, but I would start by bidding on other popular Bidding Directories (for Homepage spots), and also use: Digitalpoint, Sitepoint, and eBay.

    i think you should get a custom script developed, pay a php programmer about $20 a month and then you get a cool custom script, then you need to advertise it to get good pr and you need to have good traffic too

    no offense but if u need help deciding what script to use u shouldn't even be running one, u as a webmaster should be able to look at the features and say what will suite u the best






    EDIT: And you want advice on how to promote it? yet you run a "SEO" company ?

    theres no harm in learning from the people who are experienced in this & both the scripts have similar features except one or 2
