Hi i was just thinking is google adsense a good thing to have on your site?? I mean your aim is to get visitors to stay on your site for as long as you can. Is it worth some if not most of your visitors clicking on your google links and leaving your site and you get paid a $1 if your lucky? what is to say that the person that clicked the google link will ever come back to your site? I would love to hear your views. Thanks Jay
Adsense is a great tool. Don't use it right when you start your site, then put it in some good converting spaces. Inside posts, and banners atop the first post work well.
Adsense is a great way to earn from your site. You couldn't possibly expect that you could earn from every visitors that would visit your site. Any way of monetizing a site requires huge traffic so I say that keep working on getting those traffic to your sites.
Adsense is a good source for income but the placement of ads you do must not irritate your visitors . If you can do that than their is no problem with it .
If your goal is to generate revenues displaying AdSense ads, then it's a good thing. If your goal is to generate sales of products or services from your own web site, then adding Google Adsense is like inviting your competitor to set up shop in your store. Doesn't make sense to me.
I totally agree with trafficwave. I have sites that I purely use for the purpose of earning from adsense, and I have sites that use affiliate products as a source of earning, and I never put adsense on such sites. Although each adsense site is making me $2-$5 per day but I'm never wiling to sacrifice my affiliate commissions for a mere $2-$5.
I find that it is way easier to monetize using adsense. I have a website on tropical fish. When I had only ads for ebooks on fish selection and tank setup, I made $0 for months. Now I make $1/day which while sad is better than zero. There are people making over $10000/month from adsense. Think Tim Gorman or Grizzly. Look them up, you'll see what I mean. TomG. PS - I have built sites around product reviews in the health and beauty niche and those have blown away my adsense sites in terms of revenue. The downside is that they are built around one product/domain and are very tightly focused so you need lots of them (think several hundred).
If Adsense isn't working for you, it's probably because there isn't enough traffic on your site at the moment. I would utilize the space to increase usability and interaction with the visitors and not try to sell to them right away. Plus, you can always try AdBrite.com to monetize your sites, It's one of my favorites.
Putting adsense isn't bad thing but I admit that sometimes you loose visitors as they get driven to other website .But you should check what kind of website you have . If your website is basically giving info then its better to put adsense but if you are selling products then you are dealing with "customers not visitors" . So naturally you don't want your customers to go to some other shop .
what is your site about? if its about sharing free info / useful content, then adsense will be a great thing, but if your site is selling certain product (i mean your own product) then placing adsense can sweep out your "potential" customer
Yes, adsense can be good. Some people never come back... but on the other hand, those people might have not come back even if there wasn't adsense.
its nothing like good or bad,............its a way to make money through adv others products on your website with google as third party
