I am just curious, what is the general feeling of what the best way to market online is? Pay per clicks, etc.?
I have been researching internet marketing, SEO, PPC, and other forms of ways to make money as an entrepreneur online, and I have come to this conclusion. 1. If you have money to spend, learn PPC and go for it full throttle 2. If you don't have money to spend, learn Bum Marketing and go for it full throttle. Either way, it takes hard work and time.
Hm, I would say: if you have money, set up PPC and start learning SEO If you don't have a budget, then it takes much more time, but DP is a great help in this case
I think DeniG hit it on the head. Seems to me that the IM'ers making big bucks use PPC. Of course there's a hundred different ways to market on-line. Pick one you know works and stick with it.
What really works? You mean in making enough money to pay your bills? Or, at the very least, pay your rent? Advertising. That's it. If you don't do that, you won't make enough money to pay your utility bills. giancarlo, bum marketing is a term some guy made up to sell his e-book on article marketing. He made that term up in the hopes of selling more of his book. It's just same ol' info that can be read here. Noobies use that term. It's just article marketing. That's all.
I would start with eBay. At .35 for a listing that last 30 days (new eBay listing) you can't go wrong. Take a few days and learn eBay's policies then you can figure out how to market using eBay. There is no more targeted traffic than eBay and the best part is people go to eBay prepared to spend money. PPC can not offer you that (and can be very expensive). Blogging is great, but involves a lot more work, and not nearly the traffic.
eBay s$cks. And yes, you can go wrong on eBay in so many ways. First, you have to pay multiple fees, besides listing. If you open a store - pay fees, plus paypal fees. You can't make a profit on Ebay unless you are investing in product and buy it directly from a manufacturer. My IMHO: everyone should start with affiliate marketing. If you can't make $$ by promoting someone, you won't be able selling your products as well.
Thank you. And to present my opinion regarding the question, I think that someone should have his page(s) in the top three spots of the major search engines' organic results if he wants to earn some good money.
Start with Pay Per Click Ads , Article Submission, Directory Submission try to get as many quality back links you can get to your site. .............. repeat , repeat , repeat,
I suggest you try each one out and mix them. You don't need to spend a lot of money especially if you're doing your marketing online. Test and find out which of your marketing strategies work and drop those that don't. The biggest mistake you can do in marketing is assume that just because said that one strategy worked for them, it would automatically work for you as well.
