I haven't added any content onto my site yet, but i was wondering if you like my site layout and if the code is good. This is my first site so i know it will be open to a plethora of criticism. The site is www.thecompletesoccerguide.com.

You should kill whoever made the layout with holy water

White, blue, and purple on black? Wtf!
The forums are a complete different style, 'Contact us' and 'Add Guide' are 404s

EDIT: Domain is poor choice, too long. Use an acronym or shorten it.
EDIT2: When going to the Soccer Skill Guides link on the left, the page you are taken to does not have the header on top, or comments section.

I can go on, if this is your first site, you go awhile to go

yea please ignore it, for some reason iE adds a purple and blue bar. I'm going to change domain to completesoccer.com. Just look at the homepage, all the others are messed up.

A couple of things you may want to fix:
Your digg button is not working correctly
The menu seems to be out of line
Simplify the font. Use fewer and be more consistent

The layout and the color scheme does not look professional, you should get a professional template.

You should get a professional template from some place and edit it to fit your needs. Your current template will turn a lot of people away unfortunately.

well.. black background and that layout for a soccer guide ?

use green, and if possible something looking like grass. You really, but really need to start over with all the site.

same thing about the forum too. I know that are some nice looking templates for phpbb for soccer
