Is it ok to use more than one program on your website. Example: promoting ads from Commission Juction, Linkshare and Google Performics? Or is that against the site rules?

    It's fine.
Google adsense has a rule that no other contextual ads can be served on the same page but thats it.
A contextual ad is one that automatically senses the content on your page and matches the ad so affiliate links are okay.

I have links from many vendors and that includes amazon affiliates. The real trick is to integrate properly. If your site is covered with ads, it sends a very negative vibe to your prospects. What I do is put up a plain, non glitzy site and talk about all the products that have helped me. Then, I throw text links in the body of the post to the affiliate product relevant to the discussion. It works well and these sites have outperformed my super professional sites. Hope this helps.

Yes, I would agree with this. Your site will convert much better if people find your content informative and helpful in guiding them in their purchase. Product reviews are always great to include alongside banners and ads.

You are welcome! Remember, people don't want to be sold, they want to be informed.
