more Page rank = more quality backlinks the links which comes from the relevant content to your website and having high PRs are quality back links.
Hi vikyshine said it reverse more quality back links= better page rank you get If you submit your links to quality sites Google will consider you site and give you page rank.
Hello, Along with that u can also creating and publishing articles. Articles are an easy source of generating new traffic. Putting signature will also work a lot.
WOW thats a lot of odd info there 1st PR doesnt matter except if you want to sell links to other people who think PR matters 2nd, you need quality links not just volume
PR is pretty wacky these days. and is mostly used as a rough estimate of how wel la site might be doing or had been doing in the past when PR mattered more. But if you want high PR the old way of looking at it was that you needed: 1. backlinks from credible sites (if they then have high PR it was better ) 2. high traffic that spends time on your site and views multiple pages. 3. the 'neighborhood' of sites you're getting links from. 4. Content and updates to the site (stagnant content that sits for years with no updates) If you read/ research about the history of PageRank it will make more sense since PR has also been a sort of evolution process. At first PR was from backlinks and keywords could rank pretty easily. People found ways to beat the PR through reciprical link-farms etc. This undermined the integrity and credibility of the PR ,so then they added more factors - such as the quaility of those backlinks (eliminating and filtering known link-farms and anything that appeared to be violations or specious) SEO then had to follow a new set of rules, but inevitably people found ways to manipulate some of those and so new rules and factors were set into place. Content became a big factor everybody has been talking about ever since. Content is anything you create (a video or articles) that bring many people to your site, as opposed to link-farms, programs and bots that try to create the appearance of visitors, yet are not. Now Google advises to create your site for people and not to worry about PR or SERP rankings and supposedly if your site is built for people and has good content, it will find its way in the SERP rankings, although it doesnt specify if PR will be affected or if that should even matter anymore. I assume they now have an age factor, where a site is checked, and rechecked later over periods of time to check to see if they are still appearing as a legit site, or if they are only changing 'tactics' from one to another for the hopes of cheating and ranking. Google wants their search engine to be accurate and it doesn't want it to be ridiculed by blackhat SEO. This is why if you've been paying attention, Google is now moving to local and personalized search factors where people will be able to choose which searches they want to see, that way involving their opinions likes/dislikes into the process of the search system. Large scale SEO in one-size-fits-all is fading and soon you'll be competing for the peoples choice and opinions to have them 'promote' you in their searches. (Have you noticed the 'promote' and 'remove' button on your Google searches yet? Also Google used to rank serps much slower and leave them in their positions for long period of time before updating, but now. .Google can change the serps hour by hour as its become much more dynamic. SEO is about to go to the peoples choice. SEO's won't be looking for the best PR strategy anymore.they'll be looking to expose their site to as many people as possible and THEN ,if its good...the people will promote it and the more promotions and good reputation notes you get.. the higher you'll climb. Prepare to see in the near future many advertisements and marketing strategies no longer saying "link to us!" and instead saying = "If you like our site! Promote us!" So the only exploit I see possible so far, unless Google has a way to fight back against it is.. imagine all the SEO networks and MySPace friends networks saying = "promote us!" that could get ugly... and somewhere out there blackhats are probably already trying to reverse engineer the 'promote it' and 'remove it' button code. So its a new chapter in SEO.. and its anyones guess. It'll be interesting as always lol
Backlinks is the most important factor. Other factors that determine PageRank are: - Traffic: Most of the time, good PageRank and high traffic go hand in hand - Pages indexed: The greater the number of pages indexed by search engines (especially Google), the greater your PR. - Unique Content: don't start a useless blog and expect high pagerank. Remember?? (pagerank tell how important a page is)
Well, I took a small, unique content site from a PR of 0 to a PR of 5 in three months. That was from its launch in October to the recent PR update at the end of December. I didn't add any original content after the launch - only just this week got around to updating it again. What I did do however was add a lot of quality backlinks within the first two weeks of launch. That alone seemed to give me the PR of 5. Even I was surprised at getting that high rank because the site was so no new and hadn't been updated in a while. But I didn't do anything blackhat, just built links from good "zones" on the Web with PR of 5 and up. That seemed to do it. Dan
The most important factors that determine a Page Rank are as follows: 1. Backlinks 2. Traffic 3. Keywords 4. Pages indexed 5. Unique Content This was my list of 5 factors that I think are most important when it comes to determining pagerank. If you think that there are some other factor(s) that are more important then the once mentioned then please express your opinion. Regards
