A link having nofollow attribute will not be counted by Google crawlers, and it'll simply ignore that link. So a link with nofollow attribute would not be helpful in rankings over Google, as it will not be counted by Google..

 

"No follow" not crawl by SE, & "do follow" means crawl by SE

 

I would like to add a bit to it. actually links with "nofollow" will be crawled and indexed but they will not pass the link juice in the form of PageRank.

 

Google does follow the link, but does not index the linked-to page, unless it was in Google's index already for other reasons (such as other, non-nofollow links that point to the page)

 

Yeah, it's true that Google won't index non follow attributes as it against to the SEO rules and regulations. As they (SEO) follows some guidelines to produce good and accurate results for the visitirs..Thanks

ya ,all search engines do the same thing with no follow links.
