How backlinks work for a Blogspot default template if its nofollow?

    Recently I find a blog that have an step by step ways to turn your blog to a DOFOLLOW blog. It seems that Blogger, has a default settings of NOFOLLOW. So I have modified my template.

    Now to conclude, does it means that you should only do comments on DOFOLLOW blogs, so Google spider would see you backlinks? :confused:

    Please anyone who can shed light on me.

    Google will likely spider the links regardless if they are do or nofollow. The nofollow simply tells google not to give any PR votes to the outgoing link.

    Everyone has an opinion on the subject but generally dofollow is better but relevant nofollow links from a high traffic blog can be very effective too. It will also appear more natural to google.

    Commenting on do follow blogs can be a huge benefit, but commenting on nofollow blogs has its own benefits. If you like what you read and have a comment then leave it.

    Only dofollow backlink will provide you PR juice which is helps your PR. However, nofollow wouldnt helps on this

    Again it is not only google search engine out there.

    If you are concentrating on google, then commenting on dofollow blogs is very helpful in
    - getting higher page rank
    - search engine results
