Using blog sites for back links?

Replying to articles and posts on various blog sites is good for your back links if you anchor text your keywords to your url.

How many posts, replies or articles should you add to each blog site?

For instance I need to do a back link campaign. I find 10 blog sites that I can relate to and post good articles and replies.

Is one post sufficient on each blog site I find? Or do I need to keep posting regularly on each blog site?

    Can anyone answer this?

The first comment (and associated backlink) on a blog counts the most. Each subsequent comment on the same blog counts less. If you are simply trying to build backlinks you are better off making ten comments on ten different blogs.

However I also suggest you consider finding a few blogs related to your niche and making a habit of making good comments. The readers of that blog may start to check out your blog if they think you are adding value.

    Hope that helps.

I agree that good comments can be much more valuable, visitors will build a better relationship and visit your blog more than once quite often.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking along those lines.

My website is an ecommerce shop for wedding invitations, so my niche is wedding blogs.

I will look for more blog sites to reply to articles. The content that I leave will be good content as most people on these blogs are brides looking for advice.

My site is on page 1 in yahoo for wedding invitations but no where in google! Mind you, it is only 3 weeks old!

    Cheers.:)

Actually, if you are going comment on blogs, note all the blogs that approve comments fast. Then, you can comment there again after a couple of days.

Exactly, that is what you should try to do when getting one way links to your website.

The bad to blog, and any other forums where you can leave comments or signature, the trend is near the end PR 0.
Every effort you make, it will usually float, to stabilize (happens when your backlinks beyond the sites that were in front).

Blog commenting is good. Leaving quality blog comments can bring you visitors, can build relationship with the blogger and can also help with search engines.

Why not write some quality articles and offer them to the high-PR blogs in your niche as a guest post? That will present your site to your target audience, get you lots of visitors and get you a high-quality relevant link that Google loves.

I'm suprised no one has pointed out that blog comments links are usually nofollow....so you get no value at all. It really annoys me on my blogs when people comment just for the sole purpose of acquiring nofollow backlinks.
Look for blogs that dofollow....and start up from there or else you might as well be wasting your time

dont rely on single posting and dont even post a single as this would be considered that you are not posting because of your interest but because of link building........all know this is the case why posting is done on blogs but dont try to pretend things as what they are

Spot on. Commenting on blogs is more about building your relationships with blog owners and their readers.

It can help to establish yourself as an authority in your niche.
