May be you need some changes in ads implementation.
IMO $7 for 9 days is not bad for a beginner.

That's hard to know how many is consider few.
Let make it to CTR. If your CTR is more than 2%, then it consider average

1-may be you have not targeted traffic to your site
2-may be you don't have adsense code in the real places
3-maybe you don't have unique contents so visitors not stay in your site more than seconds

Another thing to consider is the type of ads Google is serving in relation to the context of your site. Sometimes they don't match as well as they should.. And the result is a lower number of clicks.

For example, I once had a website with a page that allowed you to send a virtual postcard to someone. All the Adsense ads served were about postcard printing. None of the visitors to my page cared about ordering 5,000 real postcards.. So the number of clicks was very low.

That's considered a good earnings for a new site. It took me 2 months to see my first click on adsense account.

Think about the placement of ads. If you are getting enough traffic and not getting any clicks means that you should consider about the proper placement of ads.
I think for a new site, you are doing alright. Also be bit patient.
we cannot earn as much as we would like in a hurry.

$7 in 9 days is better. Try changing your placements and see if it makes a difference
