Well if you want people to use your template convince them why they should, it looks average to me. Why would i use it? What CTR figures would i expect to use it? With out any information as i said average at best

CTR doesn't merely depend on the theme. It also depends on whether the content [And resultant ads] are of interest to the visitor? We need to try to provide content [Ads] suited to our proxy user.

Now all we need to find out is what visitors to our proxies would click on. And use the competitive ad filter?

What did you expect? Enough money to fund your retirement? :D

I've been using it for 6 months.
Typically, average numbers for this theme on the long run:

    3,751 impressions / 70 clicks

Typical situation for my other sites (different themes):

    2,984 / 31
    2,415 / 15
    4,492 / 44

    You do the math.
I am totally agreed with lightless. Ad targeting increases CTR dramatically. Some days I had 4%-5% CTR with proxies.

I believe 1% CTR in average is quite normal for proxy. 2% - good. 5% - unbelievable.

And imho visitors don't much care about design. ;)

What if hoster uses the same IP for regular and proxy sites?
I think they prefer to block by domain.

    Depends on the server admin.
Some of them block the domain,
some of them block the ip.
Any domain that they're blocking will go uploaded to main database in websense (or the filter that they're using) once a day.
Once a month, they will receive updates from the software company and this database were compiled from what admins around the world has been blocking.

I started a few proxy sites. I want to know which company to choose for the ads. Currently, I am using bidvertiser on main page and Adbrite on proxified page.

Need your suggestions. Any other PPC or PPM service which is good for proxy sites?

Users don't look at the layout a lot. They want a fast proxy that can get them where they want.

I think both, by domain first, then by IP for the proxy hosts or DNS nameservers. It's easier to block by IP because will block ... 500 proxies at one time , existing proxies or future proxies.

Is there any russian / iran proxies out there that anyone knows works? I need to test my redirect script.

What country codes did you guys use for GeoIP? Did you use the short form code or the full country name?

Like, for example, will this work? I have no way of testing it.

    $badcountry = array('Russian Federation','Iran, Islamic Republic of');
