hi all i have a question regarding nofollow link..................i check my website google webmaster tool, google show all nofollow link in external link, can any one tell me ,google now follow nofollow attribute links
Google claims that there spiders are not following the links that are "no-follow", but some experiments showed that this is not the real case, what I believe google actually does - they follow the link, but it doesn't add any SE related value to the linked site
The "nofollow" attribute basically tells Google that the link should not be counted as a vote. So while Google spiders (Yahoo and MSN included) will follow those links for indexing and crawling purposes, that particular link will not be included/counted for ranking purposes. So basically the link would have no SEO value.
Practice tells a different story. Some deeper analysis too. (Take it - or leave it - - as a hint. That's all I will tell)
google doesnt claim any such thing. Nofollow just means 'dont pass pagerank down that link'. the spiders are VERY happy to follow nofollow links, as a tiny bit of experimentation will show.
Have to agree, they follow, but no Pagerank is passed. They used to show PPC adds as backlinks once too, so don't believe too much of what they show you.
