Say if I have: myblog.com myblog.co.uk myblog.info myblog.net All mirroring the same site, will that affect how my pages get ranked? How about if they were different urls: myblog.com myjournal.net mydiary.com Thanks.
if content is the same then the probability of being penalized by Google would be high. In that case, the website which will be crawled and indexed first by google, will be ranked high. As Google will consider that website as the owner of the content and others will be treated the same as It treats with the websites having duplicate content...
All mirrors have the same content - that is what a mirror does. So are you saying all mirrors are penalized?
I am not saying all are penalized, however, the probability will be high to get penalized by Google due to duplicate content(as no body is sure enough about how Google tackle with duplicate content.)
So probably best to avoid? That is a shame as I think it could be usfulto have more than one domain for a site.
You could have more than one domain for your website services, however, you have to put fresh and unique content on the websites..
If you want to hold more than one domain, just redirect all to a single domain. Using mirrors is a violation of the Terms Of Service of most search engines and could be grounds for banning.
Yep. Google will not give same priority to all extensions. Let us say if you are in UK. Then xxx.uk is given much priority than xx.eu or something else. Hope you understood. thank you.
As far as I've know, Mirror Sites are sites that are exactly the same in terms of designs and template. Even if your set of domains are "sounds" alike, if they possess unique content and designs, and you can link build each site, I think you can make them rank in SEs.
