I have a question what is better for page ranking and seo having a bunch of "weak" backlinks from pr 0-3 or having a couple (1-5) links from PR6-8 sites because I am thinking in buying a PR8 link but not sure if a bunch of weak links are better. Any help would be great thanks :D

Quality over quantity. A PR8 link should have a lot more juice than a bunch of "weaker" ones.

I would take links from relevant sites over links that come from sites that have no relevant content. I could care less about the PR of the links, as long as it comes from relevant sites.

    Relevancy above all

A link from a pr8 gambling site to a website about baby diapers, wont do squat

A single link from Pampers.com (Pr6) to a website about baby diapers could Boost it to a PR4

awe I was going to purchase a pr 8 link but it isn't relevant to my site will that really knock out it's weight in backlinking. What if it's close to my niche (video games/technology) and the website is about computers etc.

In SEO wise, it is better to have a good, strong one backlink rather than having large number of weak backlinks.
Keep in mind that it should be do-follow.
If not that link is not useful in SEO wise.

no-follow links are still useful, they still provide traffic to your website and Search Engines take into account how long someone stays on your site and if they bookmark it which highly targeted visitors from no-follow links may do plus getting good visitors will make you money -care about your bank account more than what type of link it is.

The best link in my opinion is from a high traffic site that is relevant to your site, is a one way link, includes good anchor text in an seo article of about 600 words (try to find non article submission sites) There are a few services that provide this and they really do work great.

There are more search engines than Google. From what I have seen, Google is the only search engine right now that respects the NoFollow attribute and uses the links to discount the link value for ranking.

Plus, many NoFollow links can be used to gain traffic to your site. Plus, they can help in having your site indexed. The links are still followed by Google, but do not count as a vote for ranking.

thank you for the tips I've decided to go with the majority and seek out high pr links (which will cost a good amount of money)
