i need to know how to link two DB's .
    For Example,
I have a Member's DB and i wanna use tht same DB on my forum script... so tht the members doesnt have to register separately... it will be like the google's redirection (if im not wrong) ...
wht do i have to do? do i have to use a script or something?
    please tell me in detail...

You just make a form to register and insert the informations in the existent forum table of db fields

i wanted to do the otherway ... i have a gaming site www.zlimp.com and i want the registered users to have an option to go from thr member's panel to the forum with thr login details...
i was thinking of having a common member DB for my gaming site and my forum (still to be made)

Yeh thats the better way to go about it, having a members DB for both the site and the forum, and just carry over the session. Just try and keep the site and forum as intergrated as possible, will make the coding alot simpler.
