Guys, Have taken a look at Blogger and wordpress and find blogger easier to use...I know you can amend the tag descriptions etc in blogger, but I just wanted to check that the HTML is clean and not broken and therefore works well for SERPS? Anyone got any good blogger platforms doing well in the SERPS? Note Blogging is the ideal place for this, not SEO...Because it is about the blogging platform.
Depends on the SE. Google obviously loves them but Yahoo and others would not be so keen. But generally speaking they are pretty good in all aspects of SEO.
i have used WordPress in the past and always had good results in term of the SERPs - as long as you update the blog regularly, you should see your site rising up the search listings.
Blogger is good for Google because they own it, so it gets its own boost from that. Wordpress is also very-SEO friendly though, and for serious bloggers self-hosted Wordpress is definitely the way to go when you look at all aspects of a blog and what is important.
Blogger is no better because Google owns them. I have had some blogger blogs rank well with lots of SEO work and some not. I have better luck with self-hosted Word Press blogs because they are SE friendly out of the box and a couple of easy plug ins make them super SE friendly. For the little money it costs these days for a domain and hosting, it is much better to go with a self hosted Word Press. I have found it much easier to make those optimize than my Blogger blogs.
I have just read that Blogger does good in Google, not necessarily because they own it though, so I shouldn't have said that. Blogger's structure is probably set to Google's liking though, which helps it.
I've had no problems ranking well with Blogger blogs. Google likes them. I cannot say the same about Yahoo.
