Why Would a Domain Still Be Unavailable 44 Days After Expiring?

I am waiting for a domain name that expired on Dec 6 2008 but still shows "in Redemption Period"

I have read a few post on here that said it usually stays in Redemption Period for 30 days and then in Delete Period for 6 days, if that's true why would it still be in Redemption Period after 44 days?

    Thanks
    Len

Because it takes about 75-80 days to work through all the levels before it really drops.

    Thanks, good image.

Its in the Redemption Period so I guess its out of the Auto grace Period.

I wonder if i should pay for a backorder purchase or just wait and see.

You may as well backorder it with the services that don't require an upfront fee, such as Namejet or Snapnames.
