Blogger/Wordpress good for seo?

Guys,

I dont have a clue about HTML etc, and have a few profitable affiliate marketing sites, however these were built by me via weebly, then optimised by a SEO who cleaned the code too....I am now looking to get into blogs, I like the layout of Blogger, however if I select a term where the competition is say 40k in Google.com and the number 1 spot has 2 backlinks, can I look to beat this with Blogger? Or will I have to understand Wordpress? Wordpress looks very complicated but I hear you can do a lot of on page optimisation?

Even the version where you buy a domain and have your own domain with Wordpress functionality???

 

Wordpress with few additional plugins is very SEO.

You don't need much knowledge to make WP SEO these days.

 

wordpress is just amazing for SEO, really, as BIG0ne said a few plugins may do half of your job. You just need to promote your blogs link building, social sites, etc...
it's really easy, just go to wordpress.org and they even have host with automatic installation, or smth like that.

Yeah wordpress is really great for that. Super spiderable, good set up, hell its great. Blogger is no slouch either, though. Particularly since its by Google.

 

At first i thought wordpress was going to be hard to comprehend, but after building a number of wordpress sites i find it is simple and easy to use. To be honest i could not live without it now. It makes building websites such a breeze and best of all its free!

Ya wordpress is better without any doubt, on the other hand blogger is simple and more easy to use ... judging by seo viewpoint you have more control and options when using wordpress ... so if you are looking to start some commercial blog .. you should get a domain and use wordpress script on it to get the maximum results
