So are you claiming that it is equal in the US? (I'm UK and I know it is not equal here) All you have done is prove my point further (thanks!!) with your post.

If it's 77% or 89% or 95%.... it's still not equal.

 

I think you need to read my post again. I can't really say to what degree I feel women are oppressed or if they are more than men. I've seen cases where women have the clear advantage of getting a promotion just because they're a woman and cases the same for men. Then there's cases like the fact that there are more fortune 500 male CEOs and that they make more than the female CEOs. I think this fits right along the lines with what I said in my last post. Men are inherently more likely to push and want to be the Alpha male in charge of things while women are much less likely to have the desire for a title of #1. That's just my experience and thoughts on it.

There are studies all over that show differences from driving records and insurance premiums as well as crimes committed. Studies show women are more likely to be abused in a relationship than men... much of this is from human nature (and sometimes pathetic human nature) and has nothing to do with their rights or public opinion when it comes to equality.

While people think women are treated poorly because of all the female strip joints, you can bet there would be as many strip joints with men dancers if they could make the money women make with it. It all comes back to hormones and human nature, not rights and equality in these cases. And BTW, this is another example of a tip based industry women dominate in that is known to not report their earnings correctly.

men and women are created for different function but equal.

do you think because woman stay at home taking care of children, while the man go out looking for cash it make woman less important than man?
because woman hold the keys on reproduction, do you think that woman is more important than man?

men and women are different but yet equal.
that doesn't mean that women can do everything men can or vise versa.
