Bookmarking for me is just to be indexed faster, since it made news in Portuguese .. And I will fit and trying to make internal links in the middle of stories.

For indian bloggers, I suppose 'IndianPad' works a bit better and submitting the Blog to http://hydblogs.in too gets a piece of share in the traffic zone.

So, StumbleUpon and Digg are considered to be the best traffic driving social bookmarking sites around.

Came to know about mister-wong lately.

All above SB sites are really good source for traffic but initially that helps in quick indexing of newer pages.........

    Hello,

These sites are good but they do not give targeted traffic. So if you want a good conversion of your customer do not relay on this website very much.

You can get good targeted traffic through LinkPopularity and try to get traffic from Squidoo its really good one.

digg is horrible if you don't hit FP ... but if you do... well, watch your server melt ;)
Stumble's has different "system" if I can call it that way - it takes you directly to the page, therefore if you have contextual ads it will surely be better than digg (as digg has one digg page before it takes you to submitted page- where all your friends stop and digg your story and do the others friend story) from this point of view SU brings more traffic than digg even if story doesn't hit FP.
Besides on SU there is an option to become popular on tags, which is also a good traffic bringer.

... and yes, I agree - social networks are not for targeted traffic and are horrible for click ads...

I recently started to experiment with bookmarking sites. Unfortunately I don't have tons of friends on the bookmarking sites so I usually only get few hits.

Be careful, though. A friend of mine got banned from Propeller after adding not a huge number of bookmarks to his own sites, spread over about 2 weeks.

I am aware of StumbleUpon banning sites for selfsubmissions, so now Propeller too is in the banning bandwagon.

Thanks for pointing this out. I would be careful.

@Dwep: Doesn't Digg and StumbleUpon help in indexing the website faster than Mixx and Propeller? What do you think might be the reason?

Recently I observed a spike in my traffic from StumbleUpon.

Donno who kept hitting the 'thumbsup' button so many times, but happy that I am hitting the noted mark.
