Wow, Opera is staying pretty much the same.

Thought it would be after picking up share by now, its a good fast browser.

Chrome - google's browser at 1% after what, 2-3 months? Good going considering their advertising it across all their sites.

Chrome has made it's way up, I have used it at times, mostly mozilla firefox, it's.... pro.!

Safari and opera haven't changed as much as I would think.

i'm not really an IE fan x]

Well this doesn't come as a surprise. With main competitors like FF and Opera getting better in terms of speed and performance, slowly there will be decrease in the percentage of IE market share.

I feel so bad for the people who still use IE... If people would use google and search better browsers then life would be so much better for them... I couldnt stand IE even when i didnt know any other browser existed except NetScape and FF but now i know...

IE still has a big chunk of the market share....and it would be no surprise to see it consistently loosing it....though I expected a much more rapid erosion...

IE is bound to be dumped...slowly but surely....

    Indeed! I am amazed too.

FF is the best for sure, but its latest release is causing more crashed than ever. IE has never been good to advanced users, so, I expect its share to fall even more. Tabbing feature hasn't been fixed yet in it, and it crashes even after opening two tabs.

Hope either FF or opera take over the market.

I'm amazed that someone would say firefox is more secure. It's OPEN source. What part about OPEN is the secure part? Sure IE is in the news, but it's because it's the market share owner. All of the competitors want to make IE look bad so they are going to point out every flaw it has.

I'm sorry to disappoint ALL of you, but there is no such thing as the "perfect" browser. IE is going to work for geeks, while Chrome will suffice others, and Firefox will appease the nerds.

What's the difference between a geek and a nerd? Geek's have social class, and can use computers. Nerds can use computers, and think they have social class.

I wish they would set up a referal thing like google had for downloading fire fox and the google toolbar but for downloading the msn toolbar and the new internet explorer..

    then pay per install.. :)

that would give them alot more users.. and make people want to promote them more..

All of the internet security firms say IE is the least secure browser. Secunia, one of the best known, lists vulnerabilities in all browsers and totals them up to 3x more than any other browser and more vulnerabilities than all other browsers combined. See webdevout in my sig below and the other one.
But IE is the least perfect of all of them. Known, provable and verifiable.

explorer with all its bugs, has just become too annoying. I was trying the new explorer 8 on Windows 7, and it's real bad. Most of the websites do not get displayed correctly on it, as internet explorer 8 does not seem to handle CSS well.

I use Google Chrome it is better then Internet Explorer because Google chrome have much more feature as compare to Internet Explorer.the main problem in Internet Explorer is when we open a new websites we minimize the current window an open new window again.Mozilla Firefox is good option as compare to Internet Explorer but after it Internet Explorer leading the market and i think they launch new better Internet browser as soon as to compare to others browser.
