hiya, today i came across a freelancing site but it has google in its name. does anyone know about this site - http://www.googlelance.com/ ?
that site wont be up for long. the google legal division just hasnt found it yet. Im surprised a domain seller let that get by them and all the way to the registrar. waste of money and time.
i don't think that google will take any legal action against it. there is no problem in taking a domain name which is having some part of the other domain.
shailendra, i thought you said you just came across that site, how do you know google is crawling it? just a thought. Ihope my earlier post didnt hit a nerve. i just know that google and yahoo both stomp on anyone trying to infringe on their territory, and yes with domains that include their name as part of it.
dont know, and dont think i woulnt love to see somebody get away with that. but think about, if everybody who ever tried to capitalize on a domain name like ***yahoo or google*** was allowed to keep it, you could do a search for *google or *yahoo and would get a million pages listing sites with like names. They just wont allow it. Those people are trying to steal brand recognition...use the company's reputation...perhaps jeopardize their good name, etc.
found this "Googlelance is a product of Consagous technologies Pvt. Ltd." on WikiMapia with a general search. thats all it said. Best widhes to Consagous technologies. I really mean that.
