After all the posts on this thread filled with people who have gotten ripped off in the last several weeks, you actually still signed up for his service? You'll probably hear from him one last time when you file a Paypal dispute ... good luck!

OMG! You were totally right. After not hearing from him for more than 24 hours, I filed a PayPal dispute to get my money back. Literally 15 minutes after that I get an IM saying "All I can say is WOW" as though I did something wrong.

Anyways, if this guy would have apologized and said he would take care of me, I would have still used him. Instead, he mumbled a few things and signed off with no explanation.

    Basically wasted my time.

LOL - I have you beat there, he responded to my dispute in literally 5 minutes, and he said almost the exact same thing ... Paypal refused my claim because it was for a "service" rather than tangible goods, so I was basically ripped off ... sorry you got ripped off too ... I guess it happens from time to time on these forums ...

At least with all the disputes this guy is getting, Paypal will banish his account.

Seriously guys, it's quite obvious by all the posts here and the PM's I'm getting that this guy is not serious about his commitments. He took money from MANY people here and has just not done any work... I don't say this lightly, and I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this guy is just ripping people off.

If you are one of these folks, please go into your paypal account and file a dispute. It takes all of 5 minutes. Just write: "Services never delivered. Could not get response to emails." Mine is still under review and I know PayPal freezes his money when these come in. With enough, they will cancel his account.

Yeah...I am in the same boat. I e-mailed him several times after he got banned and heard nothing back, yet when I filed the dispute, he responded to it very quickly. On top of that, in his response he said that he posted my ads and e-mailed me the excel report, yet I have no report and searched CL and found no ads. Sounds like we got worked by a DP scammer...

I almost fell for this guys spam but he insisted on paypal subscriptions, which I won't do for anything. There should be a forum or thread on DP just for listing users that are rip offs.

Here's my most recent deadbeat sellers (took money and delivered nothing):

FYI - this is what I did, however when I tried to escalate my dispute to a claim, Paypal would not allow me to because I said the claim was for a "service not received" - they told me they do not cover services, only delivery of tangible goods. So my claim closed and I am a$$out - maybe if I said it was for goods not received, it would have been different.

Unfortunately, I am sure that BigBoy knew this when he was taking people's $$ with no intention of doing the work - what a shady piece of garbage

Did you all notice that BigBoy is back and not banned anymore ... has he gotten in touch with anyone who has paid for this service to make good on his promises? Or has he issued any refunds? Not that I am holding my breath - I understand getting backed up because of a huge demand, but if he is as honest as he claims to be, you would think he would come clean with those of us who have already paid him:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=10292144&postcount=53

... rather than developing his other projects:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=10362022#post10362022

If he is not going to come clean with us, I hope his iTraders reflects his ways of doing business. I didn't lose a lot of money, but regardless, I work hard for my money, and I work for myself, so that means I have days when I am waiting for money to come in or whatever. On those days, $25 is a LOT to me, and those are the very days that I get really pissed at the fact that I got ripped off by someone who promised me a service and asked for up front money and then disappeared.

I also offer services here on DP, and there are some projects that I require upfront payments on, and it is people like BigBoy that make it harder for honest freelancers to do business because of all the negative experiences DP'ers have had with up front payments.

    That's my two cents ...

    Threads like this sadden me.

On the one hand yes they are helpful to other members to see whom is doing what and how.

For someone with skills, tools and the right motivation CL Posting can be lucrative.

Obviously the OP has skills as evidenced by the customers that were satisfied.

Why have a poll? Wasn't this the whole idea behind the itrader?
Do a good job, get someone to recommend u, do more business!

But not everyone whom is good at something has the organizational skill set to be profitable consistently.

Stuff like this has forced me to learn how to post myself and Learn about ads, proxies, pvas, gmail accounts etc.

Am I successful at it? Sure!

But my time is now spent tweaking ads/replacing flagged ads and not doing what I need to do..

Yes I still look daily to find that person whom is business to create business not enemies..

Sad to see folks got ripped off. But honestly, there are tons of scammers on DP.
You really are in a "buyer beware" society, certainly true here as well.

Sorry you guys got ripped off, really.

You know that is worthy question.
You can be banned for saying the wrong thing.
Is doing the wrong thing not worse?
