I need a logo for my fresh new website <//urban dog house[dot]com//> The site will focus on products for "urban dogs" e.i. .... clothes/accessories and all that crazy jazz people do to dogs in the city.....it will be an online marketplace + forum for now; I have no specific criteria of what exactly I'm looking for, I'll go with what I see and guide you guys from there. It can have a dog in the design, nothing lame though, something that can but a smile on the face......sort of a cute lil bugger or no pet at all and graphic play, your call really. Shall we?
Alright, good day to all of you, morning for me and I can say it's a good morning now that I'm looking at my contest, at least we're starting on the right foot. I like your design very much. It has a modern feel to it and that's one of the things I'm looking for too. Colours are bang on the fonts, I really like the combination and look(the fading on the top) I don't want to limit my site to the urban audience only and I'm referring to those apartment building in the background, I sort of want the rural dog owner to feel comfortable when seeing the site, so maybe that's the thing to be worked on. Your entry is good also. Font colour and type is good, the logo itself has a "aaawwww" kind of feel to it; which may seem cute to a portion of my audience; the logo is very very calm, I'm looking for it to have more play in it, I don't want it to grow boring on people. The pup itself is out of proportion too, a bit too big. A rework is kindly appreciated. Very nice. Very well made concept just the colours and font are a bit off. I can do without the paw prints just the dog house and a funny little bugger by the dog house staring at you with a "what's the matter with you" kind of expression. I also have to think of a name to replace the "dog" writing on the dog house. Dog is a bit blunt, it needs to be something to make people giggle.
your design is nice but now that I look at it, it needs to be a bit more interesting, see what has been done in post 2 /4 and read my suggestions in post # 6. Thanks for your input in look forward to see your newer concept.
Thanks for feedback.I will work on my entry again and submit a new one soon. Just a suggestion if u don't mind:You can give feedback to us by mentioning "@NameOfDesigner:" at the start of ur feedabck so that designer scan easily know which feedback is for whom.
ok sure, my bad if writing under the actual concept confused any of you. Thank for your feedback on my feedback giving
@ speno; to tell you the truth , I don't like the profile shot of the dog, the dog should look directly at you, so to speak. @watari Concept 1: I like the fonts and the way they sit, but pluto is too much for the picture; can you work with an actual dog house picture and make it more "urban". also, please refer to what I said to larry in post 6 concept 2: no really, sorry, nothing really goes. concept 3: again please refer to post 6, my comment on tightwad, I don't want to narrow my audience to city dog owners despite the name of the site. I don't want to rural visitors to feel kind of bad to visit my site @ sagarika123.....nice, can you make it all in 1 line, and try not to play with dog profiles, make the dog stare at ya.... thanks @ ALL Thanks for your concepts, the logo is really starting to take shape. OK GUY AND GALS, I think I got the colour narrowed out, so far, emarald green/navy and glassy sky blues(see watari's concept 1) look good. You can work with those but you can still try to try your hand at what you think that looks nice. Please remember that I don't want to make any urban or rural visitors feel akward while visiting(due to graphics focusing on one groups vs the other) and let's not too much girlish(excess reds, pinks, greens) and manish( too much navy blue) colours in excess, a middle point to satisfy most of the audiences is good)
@sagarika123.....hahahahahahahahaa the what's the matter bubble thingie made me giggle. I meant the "what's the matter" as in the dog's facial expresion I'm seeing something in your latest submission and I like it it just needs something else that I can't quite figure out. Urban should be straight font and I don't know what to do with that dog.....how can it be done so it's minimal yet an important element in the design. ONE thing is for sure, the dog house MUST exist
@sakarika123...no, sorry, the previous one was better and post 12 was the one to work with. @Jack, something just doesn't look right about it I think it's still best if everything is in one line and I still think larrytheloafer has got it, see post 4
