Is there a cheaper alternative to aweber?

I am just wondering whether there is a cheaper alternative to aweber.

I want to use a list for my blog and no need of auto responding sequence.

I just want to email them whenever there is a new post which is important.

Any software which I can install in my server?

take a look at phplist. It's free.

I use act 2009. It's a cms and allows you to be more personal with your clients.

I am not sure, but I think you can use FeedBurner to do this. And this is a free service.

PHPList will be a better free alternative for mailing list management.
Or you can take a look at the autoresponder product at my shop.
    Check sig.

    Here's a free Wordpress autoresponder.
    http://freeautoresponder.biz/
    Seems exactly what you need.
But I can't comment more on this one. Maybe worth a try. It's free anyway

TrafficWave.net is a flat $17.95 per month regardless of your list size.

Since you don't want to send automated followups, you can use it to send out broadcasts to let folks know when you have something you want to announce.

You can send in HTML or plain text.

You can also track the number of times your message is opened, how many times readers click through to your site/blog, etc...

aweber has a good autoresponder service.

But they appear to be lacking as a general mailing service to people who have already become members of my program. Am I right in assuming that aweber has designed it's service primarily for newsletter and ezine subscribers? My program offers neither of these functions and I'm sure my members may grow a little tired of constantly having to verify their commitment to us each time I wish to email my database.

Constant Contact comes with a free 60 days no risk trail and is available to use from as little as 15$ a month there after.

If you don't need follow-up for your autoresponder, check your webhost. Chances are they offer you unlimited autoresponders that don't have follow up.
