Which is the Best Link Directory Software

Hello, I have been looking around a few websites that have link directory as their main website. After checking out that most of them where paid once and the free once wherent that up to date that i felt should be, i decided to ask everyone that which is the one which you use for your link directory ? Although please post only the FREE Link Directory softwares and not the paid once. (not even trial versions).

Please do let me and everyone else know about it.

Checking the difference between the free and the paid once, the free once lack much of the major things. Isnt there something which is totally done for free and has almost same features as these paid once provide.

As you know in forum softwares, SMF and Phpbb are free. In the same way any of them which do this for free ?

 

In contradiction, there might be many who are professional but still use the free one. It just has to be user friendly. Paid is comparatively better than Free but none are yet sometimes non-user friendly.

If you look at the example of the forums, i suspect that many professional users will feel SMF/PHPBB/MyBB being more user friendly as it has everything that is understandable and easy to use. But comparatively, Vbulletin or IPB wouldnt be that simple to use as the options are all over the place and are totally knocking someonce brain out to get things proper. (thats my own experience aswell)

I suppose there might be some free one which no one has came across yet ? Or never tried to search for it harder ?

 

I think PhpLD is the one which is used by many webmasters and you can get its guide easily too . You must give it a try . I am also using it for two directories .
