Not collecting email addresses on the thank you page before fulfillment. With FEO, I could have had about 5000 email addresses to cross-sell to. I get emails all the time wanting to do JV's with those emails. That simple mistake is probably costing me a couple thousand a month.

    Live and learn, I guess.

My biggest mistake of 2008 was being a follower and not a do-er!

Started out with 10 affiliate websites, when I couldn't handle more than 5 :)

Seriously it's always better to pay attention on one or maybe two sites when you don't have a long-term-strong team that knows what they're doing.

Affiliate marketing involves a lot of outsourcing. I wouldn't even call someone a marketer if he he/she spends time on things such as content writing or site design. Hope you get my point. If someone spends 8 hours a day writing articles and designing sites then when the heck is he going to market those sites, which basically takes more than 16 hours a day.

Not that I haven't done this mistake myself..and wasted a whole lot of time which could have been spent more wisely. But the truth is affiliate marketing involves outsourcing and considerable budgets to start off with. Another thing is I have nothing against forums but they are a little tricky, the shit is out there. Something that might work for me won't work for everyone else. Aff. marketing does involve money*testing*time .. this is the secret recipe.

Forums are great, however there isn't much to to be leaned from the Affiliate Programs section here. There are just a few things to understand and put into practice. As I said the all the sh*t is out there. Something that works --- won't work for everybody.. at least not as great. Testing, testing, testing... is what IM is all about. People that lose money on PPC, are just not aware of the fact they are fighting against a high competition (Successful PPC marketers) that know heck of a lot about what they're doing. It's not recommended to use PPC unless you know a lot about your niche.

    Everyone agrees? :D

    Good Luck ! :D

My biggest mistake was doing everything so transparently and telling people how much I was making.
