Does google take into consideration the amount of backlinks built over a certain amount of time. For example, directory submission. Won't google know a site has participated in directory submission by noticing the backlink building is all from directories? Or am I just paranoid, quick someone give me another steroid! Anyway, yeah

Try to build back links on a human basis as time goes on google doesn't like software that does it for you.

Yes, I believe they do look at how quickly backlinks are built. I have known several people who believe they were penalized for building links too quickly. It doesn't look natural, so it's certainly possible that a new site that suddenly gets hundreds of backlinks overnight would be looked at with a suspicious eye by Google.

you should not build backlinks too fast, specially for new domains. always take a slow and steady approach and increase your link building over time which is natural. also, dont just do directory submissions for backlinks and diversify your link building methods which would also be natural

Patience is vital when building backlinks. Once I used a service that promised to get me xx backlinks in xx days. I did it because I wanted to "hurry up" the process of getting to #1 in Google. I already was ranking #5 (due to good SEO) on Google's first page for a competitive keyword and only one backlink (in a forum). After using the service I suddenly had 100 backlinks BUT I lost my first page ranking overnight -- I was on page 30! It took me awhile to get back up there. My impatience certainly caused me to lose my place.

    Cheers!

Thanks, yeah that's what I'm talking about! Anyway. That does suck. I think that directory submission shouldn't be considered as an seo technique. Google isn't dumb.

Google bots know the link from which site, they evaluating the link by the linked site quality, like contains duplicate content and forums never penalizing but if any other site contains some time kicking out form G.
