What would you do if you had $1000?

I just got a "bonus" for $1000 after getting in a car accident and sued for pain and suffering and ended up getting an extra $1000, basically how would you invest $1000 into the web? I've been looking at social bookmarking, link sales, advertisement, directories, etc.

Put it somewhere George Bush could not find it. :D

Oh, you mean marketing... That depends on the site. Social bookmarking won't do much if your site sells car parts. Let us know what kind of site you have, and we can give you specific advice/suggestions.

$1000 doesn't go very far if you try online advertising and paying $2 or more per click.

Again, provide more details about your site so we can see how we may be able to help.

Yup, buy a website making at least $250 per month. You'd break even in 4.

I would hire somebody to help me clean up and populate a couple of sites. Then I'd spend the rest on a new fence. ;)

I would buy some well targeted PPC ads. If you kept your clicks around .20-.25 cents a click could get around 4000 clicks, which would have to yield some sales.

Well, if you don't own a website, then I'd put it in the bank until I actually develop a website of my own.

But on the other hand if I had a website, I'd invest the $1k into an advertising campaign.

my idea is open a account in worldwidebrands and a store in ebay. research in ebay and find some good products and dropship the items and earn some good money.

I'd od a mix of the things people have said, either buy or start a cheap site for say $200 making $20 a month. Then buy either a sticky on a popular forum or such things for about $50 a month. This should increase the revenue to at least $45 a month making a profit of $200. This way you can buy 4 sites and make $800. Thats what ill be doing with my forum rather than just selling banner space.

Haha that is the truth, I guess you will only have to hide it for a couple more days. I would say with $1,000 your options are pretty limited but I would say marketing wise buy some adwords in your niche with $800 of it then buy a few PR1-3 links with the other $200.
