The big e looks like The internet explorer Icon or logo, so I would not think it could be used in a logo.
Well you could be right there, I hadn't noticed, though their "e" has this shiny thing going through it that they ripped off of netscape, so they can't really talk
hmmm..just becuase i used that kinda hair style on my mascot your saying that i rip your idea?? alotta cartoon uses that kind of har style so you rip that also...and about the the big e if you look at my sketch you can see that i have that concept already that the logo is on the bicep of my mascot... and your saying that evrytime i use a gradient E thats an internet explorer...anyways if you guys got problems with that i can always change it..
Uh... no I didn't say you ripped off my idea! I was making an observation and it doesn't bother me at all that you have the same hair... or close it's not the same. I just wanted to talk about everyone's entry. A lot of people seem not to care about other designers around here or if they do, they are insulting. Not too often someone just comments on others' stuff. SO, that's all I was doing. No need to be upset I like the hairstyle
Just a suggestion to everyone - try and fit the e into the person himself: Make him flex his bicep and make it look like an "e" Fit the "e" on his chest, either making it as a tatto or a sun-tan
Hi Plugzz, no one is accusing you of anything. Your hairstyle and the big e looks fine. I was jst making a comment that it looked like the same e that internet explorer uses. The final decision is up to the CH.
Here's a revision of my logo. I really like that suggestion of a suntan E or tattoo so I might work that in too cause that is cool The PSD is not NEAR that pixelly just FYI. I figure that nobody will steal it looking like that but you can see waht it's about

May I ask what the EMG is? Did you mean EMB? I like the logo, and your guy looks cool as well - I'll hope to see another couple of entries before asking any finalists for revisions.
I love your guy, but the quality seems a bit low and the logo is not great for my tastes. But the guy is VERY nice! I'll ask for revisions if your a finalist, but I hope to see a couple more entries before deciding since I think a contest should see at least five entries.

It's no problem at all, I never really considered that the two things would be different, but now I see that it can be. In a worst case scenario I'll just order a logo to go with the guy in a seperate contest, especially if I get a mascot that knocks it out of the park.

Okay here's a better look at just my mascot. I cleaned up some lines, tweaked his hair, gave him a big smile, and added some backlighting and highlights. I'm still thinking about the e-tat or tan but I haven't found a place that looks good on him yet. I should have done him in flash. If I had it to do all over again, that's what I would have done.
Apparently my darned post didn't show up here I posted a few hours ago. So I'm gonna give it another shot. Here is just the character with a few touch-ups. More can be done if needed. I cleaned up the lines, hair, and added some gradient shading (just a touch) to make it go better with a web 2.0 logo.
