oh damn...! i hope most of the passengers are in safe hands... the plane crashed in icy cold waters...
i saw it on the cnn dot com .. "Passenger: 'I think everyone survived'" .. well.. hope that this is just an accident... I quote from cnn : "Emergency officials are responding to a downed US Airways plane in New York's Hudson River. A ferry on site dropped life jackets into the frigid water. A police source said the pilot radioed that he had experienced a bird strike. The FAA said preliminary reports were that all passengers survived"
Earlier this summer, I took U.S Airway from NYC to Charlotte, NC. Almost a similar flight. Anyways, the pilot was a pro for sure. They only had few seconds to decide on where to do a emergency landing.
Kudos to the pilot for thinking so quickly under unbelievable pressure. His poise and composure surely averted a tragedy.
Thanks for this info. My sister and brother in law were on the flight. Hope them and everyone else concerned are okay! Sheesh ... I hope the kids weren't with them.
Well I just seen it in early morning, it's great to see all of them are rescued safely. I think Pilot did a excellent job. It's a modern weapons.
