Why we need a RSS feed ? i think will stop people visiting the blog and will help others copy very fast the content with autopilot scripts, what you think ?

Why should or not use the Rss feed ?

With an RSS feed you can constantly keep visitors updated, you can also rank
well in the search engines by submitting your feeds to various sites which in
turn will also generate more traffic for you.

An RSS feed keeps me going back to the site - usually to fully read the articles I'm interested in, etc..

I would prefer a site that has an RSS feed over one that doesn't.

You could set up the feed to display a snippet of your content and have a "read more" link at the end which directs people to your site.

What software does your site use at the moment ?

If there is a plugin it can possibly be modified to use a "read more" link

People can subscribe to your email feed and you can develop a mailing list also.

An RSS feed allows yours subscribers to read your blog in RSS readers like FeedDemon, Google Reader and Netvibes. Wordpress comes built in with this option.

So, if you're blogging on the Wordpress platform, you've got almost no work in setting up your RSS feed.

But, it's better to switch to Feedburner to burn your RSS feed and deliver new posts by email, see your subscribers, monetize with Google Adsense, etc.

Basically, it is to make a bond with your visitors, if someone visits your blog and likes it, he might subscribe to your feed, then when there is something interesting he will visit back, that increases the chance of having regular visitors.

Even if I like a particular blog, I rarely remember to revisit it if I can't subscribe to it in Google Reader. I scan through thousands of headlines to find the articles I'm interested in and then read the whole article. There are now many people who do that as a method of dealing with information overload on the internet. So having a feed and then creating good headlines will be a positive.
