the main purpose of education is finding a good job to earn money for living the life that you dream of...
but in the same time education is a good way of developing yourself...

That's true, in a way. But a good education is not a guarantee that you will get a good job, or a job at all. In my country there are many highly educated people that don't have a job that corresponds to their level of education, some are completely without a job.
If you want to get a good job working for someone else, you often need more than an education.

But you can also earn good money without an official education or certificate. You just need information, practice, knowledge and insight. And out of the box original thinking. And most of that is freely available on the internet and in libraries, you just have to go out and get it.

There are many roads to financial success.

It is less than 10% I use whatever I learned in my U days. The main reason of getting the cert is to show people around that our word got meaning. It gives us power for whatever we say. Of course, money wins at the end.

Nah, Education doesnt matter at all,as long as you are skillful.

    Live example is myself :)

I dont have a Degree Certificate, but i have schooling and college certs with me and i was the best champ in my school as well..

Im on the way to get my degree cert, but not getting time to study for my degree course..
Now,i earn more than 4000$ a month and also maintain a Mercedez of my own and a nice bungalow.

    So Certificates hardly matters..

All what matters is your SKILL and HARDWORK and DEDICATION :)

An education is important, but in the end....it's not what you know, but who you blow.

The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think—rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with the thoughts of other men.

In theory, yes. In reality, it's a bit different. Even teachers are always trying to convince their students that THEIR theory, or perspective is the right one. Although there are some good teachers that don't do it.

Apart from making us intelligent, education helps us sharpen our understanding power and reasoning skills.

Ofcourse, it primarily provides us certificates, but in doing so, it exposes our mind to wider horizons.....

Yeh, the main reason of going to school is to be able to survive when you are an adult. The sadder thing is that it isnt working like that in real life.. For me the education obtained from school sucked, I only needed the certificate and my own brain.

Have to agree with some of your points. A proper education will pave the way for a better understanding of life and it shouldn't stop by merely issuing the student with a paper certificate but provide practical knowledge and a better insights into the subject chosen :)

It's much more than just getting the cert. Education is not only about knowledge, it's also about developing skills and character, social values....

Education is not the certificate or diploma. It is a lot more about life. At the very
least, it is basic tool for everyone of us to be with Digital Point and understand
what we are doing, how and why we do all of it, and for what ultimate purpose.

For me - yes ! Got that paper and I have no need for it right now .. It's like a passport - without it you can't go anywhere ( in this case, you can't find a job ). Once you've successfully used it - throw it out ..
