Working from home might not bring in as much money as working onsite somewhere, but I think there's more to it than just money. The kids can really benefit from having mom at home to watch them rather than leaving it up to a stressed out daycare provider who spreads their attention amongst all the other kids. That's just one benefit I would like to point out and I'd love to hear thoughts from others regarding the benefits of mom staying at home.
I just posted on the work day post a minute ago, and my whole day is pretty much kids. We do a lot of fun stuff. Today we were out playing with water balloons in the rain for like 2 hours. The kids had to basically talk me into it - but once they got me dragged out in the rain we were all having a blast in no time. My 18 month old had great fun rolling the balloons down the driveway - trying to stomp on them saying "pop - pop- pop!" and we were all giggling like crazy. Meanwhile my oldest and I had fun blasting balloons at each others feet - so they would pop on the driveway right in front of each other. Still got plenty wet without anyone getting hurt. So yep! Stay at home mom CAN be all it's cracked up to be! Thanks! Michelle
I think it's good for the kids to have their mom at home, you're right. Plus it's also nice for the mom to be involved in her childrens life and watch them grow up, as they do so fast. Having said that i reckon i'd be bored out my tiny little mind staying at home with kids. It might be fun for a day or so but then i'd probably try and sell them on Ebay.
i agree. having a mom at home with the kids is much much better than leaving the kids with a nanny. at least that's my opinion. and working while at home, is even better!
LOL too funny!! I'm a work from home mom, I have a 3 year old daughter and love the fact that I am able to spend time with her and work online at the same time, I've found that working out a good schedule really helps and I'm in the process of sorting out my working space and turning it into a proper office to help me concentrate more on my writing when im in there.
My mom is just a housewife... she doesnt earn.. But I agree with all of you... Mom staying at home and taking care of kids is better than leaving the kids with nanny or all alone.
I just turned down a really great job offer because I decided it was more important to have the flexibility to be there when the kids need me rather than rely on the juggling act that my fab husband I get into when I work "onsite". Takes sacrifice though and it's not always practical. That said, I know plenty of people who think they have to work, but really the second income is spent on luxuries.
Hi my name is Lorna and I've just started a home buisness and it's great I love being at home with my kids. With the company i work for I can retire in two years with a 100,000 in residual income or more.
You can work from home and make thousands of dollars a month. All of us here are working from home.. or from an office... But it's like home... cuz it's our office... Just learn what people are doing here, and there won't be a job onsite that will pay more than you work at home.
We're more equal opportunity in my family. I'm a work at home mom, but for two of my sisters it's the husband who is at home raising the kids. Just a matter of who can earn better outside the home.
