PR 0, Less Backlinks, but top on google with vast competition.

Hello,

I got this website http://www.massoftind.com/ its page rank is 0 and its backlinks are also less but then also its coming in top with competition of 4,590,000. Why that so? I got two reason

1) Does this site updated its content daily or
2) Are they getting quality backlink or else.

Please post your replies what would be the reason behind it.

Maybe You have good Keyword density, Uniqe contents, and Fresh Contents...

 

It may come for some of keywords on which they did some seo.
Can you tell us for which keywords it's getting good rank?

 

I think it is helps to good keyword density, and target keywords are using on mata tags.

It's possible to reach google's first page with quality fresh & unique contents and only a few relevant back links.

 

Did you submit the article on some social bookmakings site? I have noticed the site coming up after submitting, however many a times it disappears in few days.
Let us know if your listing is there after few days.

 

that's pretty impressive.. now people who live for getting high PR may realise it's quite a waste of time.

So getting more backlink is also not helpful or what.

 

it has almost 3000 backlinks, enough with decent pr so its pr is not really 0... more like 3 or 4

you see this is a good example why so many people think pr is useless because they find a site with tool bar pr0 on top and say wow.... well just cause the toolbar says thats what it has doesnt mean nothing.

 

Agree, "Web design India" have really most use and good density in their site.

With only 47 indexed pages, new and fresh content is not the point.

 

Tool Bar Page Rank was never a ranking factor. The green bar on the Google tool bar is always out of date (only updates after every few months) and is not the actual PR used for search engine rankings.

The domain is quite old (registration date in 2001) and therefore would command a high authority with search engines. Also the on-page elements are well done, supported by decent number of back links. Here is a snapshot of their anchor texts:

All these factors work together to give them good rankings.

A great example for people who still think that the tool bar PR is of significance. It is a piece of crap.

agreed, also it may have not had it's pr updated lately. depends on the backlinks ofcourse and the quality of them

 

Nancy Kneoteric has given perfect reasons for it . First age of domain is good and web pages contains good number of keywords related to niche . You must not run behind PR only quality of content and keywords is main thing .

 

First of all, your PR has nothing to do with the serp. PR is overrated, there is no relation between PR and SERP.
Secondly your backlink is better than your competitior.

This seo no one can understand about their secrets and about google y r they showing it on top.

 

I dont think PR and keyword ranking have any much relation. this site must hav been well optimized with good keyword density and yes sure he must be adding regular contents to site. and also must be using other link building strategies such as dofollow blog commenting, etc with that particular keyword as anchor tag...

 

Maybe the url will be placed one of the site who is getting more traffic in a row and day by day.

 

If a webpage has even several backlinks, especially high quality ones, its PR won't be 0 for sure.

@yuro11 I was also saying that PR is not related to SERP, but some people tried to prove me wrong.
