Is there any way to find out who gives me good/bad rep? It doesn't seem fair to give rep anonymously.
Some members will put their username in the comments, but typically only when it's positive rep they're giving. I agree to an extent that you should be able to see who's giving you rep, but then if you do actually need to give a member some negative rep, I'm sure they'd send one right back at you!
If the rep is given anonymously then there is no way of knowing.. unless you are admin/mod, but I doubt they will supply you with names though.. If you are concerned about bad rep don't be, Rep means very little really.. Just wipe your mouth and move on..
On another board I visit regularily which is vBulletin the member's name is shown along with the comments and date/time. Knowing that the person receiving the rep is going to know who gave it makes it less likely that people will give bad rep unjustly.
Just pay attention to the threads you go into, the things you say and the people that pay attention to them. You can usually just guess.
If the rep user always signed his name, it would lead to a rep war. Some things are better left the way they currently are.
I believe mods can see reps, long ago I've red repped a mod anon. and 2 mins later s/he gave me one right back, and from the message was obvious it was no coincidence.
maybe thats because u were the only person online on that thread and he guessed it was u giving him red rep
