    1) You still need to promote a parked domain, unless it is a good name to get some automatic type in traffic, such as, misspellings.

    2) Promotion is the key for new domains to attract traffic.

    3) As far as I know, parked domains are not indexed by search engines. This is applicable in "Google's Domain Park" program, but might be true for other parking programs too....

Parking is ok if it already gets traffic, if not make a mini site and promote it. I don't think parking companies allow parked domains to be promoted, or at least there are rules to consider.

I have 80 domains and I decided to just park it for the heck of it since Google added their domain parking for adsense. Well so far it's been 3 weeks and I get traffic to most of the domains.. I would say about 2000 hits in total of all my domains for the 3 weeks.. and i get a whopping $3 bucks for 3 weeks..

i'm gonna let it park and make little mini sites one at a time.. but parking really doesn't generate much..

Nope, not just like that. You need to promote your domain to get traffic.

Agreed,Domain weather Parked or un parked needs to be promoted, promotion can be automated or manual, automated promotions are generally promotions via word of mouth,This Generally takes place when one has a fantastic product that everyone likes,This wont be the case with a Parked Domain name so I would assume Manual promoting would be the way to go.

    1. It's ok. Well, but you can't expect traffic for new domain, except your domain is a good domain name.

    2. You can't if the name is meaningless. Develop it first.

    3. I'm sure they were developed first.

If your domain name is parked, do not use paid promotion such as adwords, etc.
    Parking companies don't like it.
