Adsense earnings for my site too low? Recommendations?

Hey there everyone, I have a site which averages 3700 unique visitors a day. I have adsense on this site which generates between 10.00 and 20.00 per day. Compared with some of my other sites the amount of money I'm making via adsense for the amount of traffic I receive seems low.

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good alternative to try for a few days. I believe that 80-90% of my traffic are Tween/Teen girls...

    So, any ideas?

    Rep for good recommendations!

You can try some affiliate offers for teen stuff on your site, or you can also use some CPA offers to better convert your visitors.

Thanks for the response Ron. I've never done any CPA stuff before, do you think that would work better than affiliate items?

I have noticed that certain adsense ads get clicked on much more than other ads, specifically dating ads like truth.com receive much more clicks than any other ads...

This in this case try promoting some dating affiliate products.

Both CPA offers and affiliate products work better but you'll need to test both of these types of offers. Since you've noticed that your visitors are clicking more on dating related ads so first try to promote various dating related products, and try to promote products that are in the $10-$50 price range. If such priced products convert well then you can test a bit high priced products.

If affiliate stuff not converting well then try CPA offers.

I have a site that I started for the purpose of adsense, and started making $2 daily. So then I tried affiliate products and when they didn't convert well I put CPA offers like "get free Ipod" etc where visitor has to just submit email/zip, and I get paid $1-$3 for each such submission.

So try these things. You'll get to your target.

    Good Luck.

It's according to the look of the site, where the ads are placed, and the look of the ads, but roughly only 1% of a site's visitors click on ads. If not less than that. You should know this.

Ads like sex, and on free stuff do better. But not by much.

    Do the math.

I believe my sites average around 4% CTR combined. The niche I'm in is pretty low paying so that is another reason I was looking for an alternative.

TextLinkAds, TrafficSwarm, CasaleMedia, Advertising, FastClick, BurstMedia, TribalFusion, Azoogle, GlobalInteractive, AdBrite, Adengage, RealMedia, Kontera, Avnads, ValueClick, RealTechNetwork, Reduxmedia, and, Dotomi.

Just keep in mind that it is around 1%, with most cases being less than that.

I was wrong, it wasn't the dating ads that were getting clicked on most.
It was one of those "Test your (movie here) IQ" ads.

Does this change the products/affiliates mentioned above?

It makes sense that teens/tween girls don't have much money, and the majority of the money they do have probably isn't spent online.

So I guess that leaves me with free offers, anyone know of some good ones?

I have to agree that you should be using CPA ads. There are plenty of CPA offers that would appeal to teen and tween girls. But you need to be looking for ads that don't require a credit card, of course. Zip submits and email submits are a good option.
