Unfortunately, I don't think you can get your blog suspended for that, but it will still be very funny
i posted too nasty remarks... i like the idea with changing the hotlinked images to detestable porn and then reporting him/her... we could all report him bolgger would have to notice that...
Cristian, you're very threatening, I don't know how ANYBODY could refuse this: "Dude .. Remove my article. NOW." It's scary..
I posted a message and flagged it. Hopefully they will take it off. Oh and I gave this thread a 5 star...hopefully we can get enough people to flag it.
Kibeth said... "What a complete loser. you suck lots! Whats the matter, you too poor to buy a keyboard? Have to copy and paste with the mouse? Awww poorTrampMan. "
I have flagged also... these type of guys realllyyy.... #$%^@ I dont feel bad if he will provided your live links, where he was cut and paste. Hope his blogs is ban....
This guy must be a moron! Not only has he not taken the article down, he has not even deleted any of our wonderful and creative comments
Forget posting comments to his blog. Look up his WHOIS info and find out who his web host is to have them shut his ass down. Email his host showing you tried to give him time to take down your article. They'll give him a day or two to remove the article. After that window passes and he doesn't: lights out for him! Keep us posted!
Flagged. Have some fun with him. 1) Change those hotlinked images asap. 2) Start spamming his blog - include as many links to google banned sites as possible
Since it is a Blogger blog, it is hosted by Google. As such you can send Blogger/Google a DMCA take down notice that provides both the page that has copied your content and the page on your site the content was taken from. You can get some nice legal forms to use as templates for this purpose from http://FindLegalForms.com. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (http://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf ) if the hosting provider does not take down infringing material when issued a DMCA take down notice, they become legally culpable along with the individual who committed the copyright violation. The DMCA allows for civil penalties of up to $150,000 per infraction. I always like to remind the hosting provider of this as it helps light a little fire under their butts. Sometimes emailing the take down notice is not enough and you might need to fax a signed copy to them as well. In the mean time people flaming the blog is a good way to shame the perp. Theft of content is becoming such an issue that people really need to start banding together and hunting down and exposing these thieves for what they are. When I find sites that have stolen my content, one of my objectives becomes to get their web hosting account terminated such that their whole site goes dark. Once I hunted one perp down from web host to web host around the world getting his accounts closed down as he tried to get back on line. I now file my site with the U.S. Copyright office (http://Copyright.gov ) so that I can sue not only for damages but also for legal expenses. This way I can make them pay my legal expenses. My idea is to be ready to sue a perp into oblivion if necessary.
The right to claim statutory damages is extended to the owner of a registered work. The amount of the award for statutory damages is at the discretion of the court, and if it finds the infringement to be willful it can award damages up to $150,000. If the work is not registered prior to the infringement, you are entitled to damages for lost profits, the infringer's profit and an injunction - but you cannot obtain statutory damages or attorneys' fees. Proving lost profits is rather difficult and costly.
